Short Description
My YouTube channel is to work in conjunction with the website. I’ll be streaming and editing video’s from these livestreams to make into videos and shorts.
I’ll be streaming my coding journey of learning C, Python and more, as well as some gaming.

So, what else is there to find here?
We got 3 different tabs with everything you’d like to know.
- The first tab has the Goals I have for the YouTube channel. These goals are sometimes linked to entries in the Updates tab.
- The second tab has all Updates, starting with the latest. You should come back often if you’re interested in the YouTube journey.
- The third tab is all Resources I use for YouTube streaming, editing, etc.
Goals for 2023 Q1.
- Stream the Introduction to C course on Sololearn for 5 days, one hour per day before the study meetup.
- For every stream I want to make shorter videos that are more condensed with information than the stream. The amount of videos will depend on the amount and length of streams. All videos need to be online before the April 1st, 2023
- Dip my toes in the YouTube Shorts section. Make at least 2 YouTube shorts before April 1st, 2023.

Had my first actual stream where I went through a few lessons of the Introduction to C course on Sololearn. I got quite nervous before starting as I was going to stream while talking. The plan is to go all week until Friday 17th, for an hour per day and get as far into the course as I can.
For my setup I used a decent microphone and a 2nd laptop as my 2nd monitor. I did some recordings to check best placement of the microphone – apparently it is right in front of you, which is obvious, but left me with little room to move as the desk is pretty small.
I also made an image that says Let’s Learn C, which I used as start, end screen and thumbnail (see image in the gallery at the top). And I wrote down a few talking points in a logical order to keep track of where I wanted to go. These are the talking points:
- Welcome to Let’s Learn C + prior experience
- First serious stream + schedule – Every day until Friday
- We’re going to follow lessons on SoloLearn
- On the left the lessons / On the right C playground
- Every lesson playground code will be saved except the first one
- Let’s get started with Lesson 1
- ENDING: Thanks for watching
Here is how the stream went:
– The first take went awful as I was pretty nervous beforehand and got some sort of a blackout where I forgot what I wanted to say and in what order. The take was ~70 seconds.
Luckily because there were no viewers (obviously) I could end the stream, remove the VOD and start over.
– The second take went great. I went over all talking points in a nice order, explaining my plans and setup for the streams, started the course and finished a lesson. It was then, after ~10 minutes, that I noticed I forgot to switch my scenes. Viewers couldn’t see my screen, but just the image that says Let’s Learn C.
Again, due to having no viewers whatsoever I decided to end the stream, delete the VOD and start over.
– The last take started out not as well as the 2nd one, but still pretty good. I made sure I switched the scene when needed to and eventually streamed for over an hour. The course was actually a lot more difficult than I had expected, especially since I have done quite a few lessons for Python. At the end I had quite a sore and dry throat.

I just had my first test stream to test my new laptop (Lenovo Legion 5 Pro) and the internet connection, as well as some settings. Monster Hunter: Rise was the game I streamed on YouTube with OBS (Open Broadcast Software). I did no commentary.
I set my settings to stream for 1080p 60fps, and was surprised I was actually streaming 1440p without troubles. My laptop was handling the streaming well on highest graphic settings too.
I got a viewer too who said hello but I missed it for 4 minutes apparently and he already left when I responded to him.
Fine the stream here: https://youtube.com/live/8Nnc1e626WA?feature=share

The goals have changed a little. I won’t be starting with a Python Course stream for a while, but an Introduction to C instead as I have a meetup with a study I might start where they teach C and C++
Old goal: Stream the entirety of the Sololearn Python Core course on YouTube before March 1st, 2023. The channel can be found in the General Information section on top of the page.
New goal: Stream the Introduction to C course on Sololearn for 5 days, one hour per day before the study meetup.
The other goals still stand.

Goals for the first quarter of 2023 have been added. Don’t have a specific starting date just yet as I go through the ideal setup and until I have done some YouTube Streaming research.
These are the resources we use or used in the past.
- OBS – Open Broadcast Software, is the software I use to stream on YouTube.
- DaVinci Resolve – Free software for editing the videos.
- YouTube – The streaming platform. Obvious but not less important to have a complete list.
- Lenovo Legion 5 Pro, RTX 3070 and i7-12700 – My computer I use for streaming and editing.
- Old Lenovo Ideapad as 2nd monitor
- Microphone (Specific device will be added) – For talking during the streams.
